Advantages of Organic Membrane

Definition of Organic Membrane

Organic membrane is made from organic polymer materials, such as cellulose acetate, aromatic polyamides, polyethersulfone, and polyfluoropolymers. The main types of organic membrane are spiral-wound, tubular, hollow fiber, and plate. Filtration accuracy can be categorized into microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis.

Advantages of Organic Membrane

Compared with traditional separation technologies, organic membrane has the following advantages.

  • Does not alter physical structure, mild separation conditions.

  • High efficiency, low energy consumption.

  • Good selectivity, high separation coefficient, belonging to molecular-level filtration.

  • Easy to scale up, simple process, high degree of automation, simple maintenance. Low cost, lower usage cost, providing an advantage in manufacturing costs.

  • Wide range of applications: Due to the diversity of its materials, organic membrane is widely used in water treatment, gas separation, biomedical, and food processing fields.

  • Excellent performance: The pore size range of organic membrane is relatively wide, enabling separations from micron to nanometer levels, suitable for desalination, sterilization, and organic retention at different filtration levels. Additionally, its hydrophilicity generally improves water flux to some extent.

At the exhibition site, Jiangsu Jiuwu Hi-Tech, with its superior performance advantages, has injected new vitality into the technical upgrading and industrial development in the bio-fermentation and biopharmaceutical fields. At the same time, it continuously optimizes and expands the application scenarios of ceramic membrane and organic membrane, providing more efficient, more environmentally friendly, and more cost-effective separation solutions for more industries, continuously striving in technological research and development, product innovation, and market expansion.
