Jiuwu Hi-Tech Showcases Complete Salt Lake Lithium Extraction Solutions at China (Tibet) Lithium Industry Conference

On April 1st, the "2025 China (Tibet) Lithium Industry Conference and the Tenth Lithium Resource Development Forum" opened in Nyingchi, Tibet. The conference, themed "Green Empowerment, Exploring Future Opportunities," focused on upgrading the new energy industry chain and efficient development of salt lake resources. Over 200 representatives attended the event, including Duan Debing, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and Secretary-General of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association; Duojie, former Vice-Chairman of the Tibet People's Congress and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; representatives from the Tibet-Qinghai Industrial Park Administration Committee, research institutions, and upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain.

As a leading company in salt lake lithium extraction technology in China, Jiuwu Hi-tech deeply participated in the forum as a specially invited co-organizer. The company's Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager, Dang Jianbing, was invited to deliver a speech at the opening ceremony. Dang Jianbing stated that since 2013, Jiuwu Hi-tech began its work in the field of salt lake lithium extraction, including selecting membrane separation materials, conducting experiments, developing processes, and exploring industrial parameters. In 2018, the company completed the world's first 10,000-ton annual production all-membrane lithium carbonate EPC project and developed the first generation of high-adsorption capacity powder lithium extraction adsorbent.

Dang Jianbing stated that as a technology leader in the field of salt lake lithium extraction, Jiuwu Hi-tech continues to deepen its industrial layout. In February 2022, the company established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Tibet Jiuwu, in the Qinghai Golmud Tibet-Qinghai Industrial Park, building an industrial base integrating research and development and production. In 2023, the base completed the construction of the first intelligent production line in China with an annual capacity of 6,000 tons of lithium adsorbent, marking a critical leap for the company from a single membrane lithium extraction supplier to an integrated service provider of adsorption + membrane comprehensive solutions.


This technological breakthrough not only consolidates the company's core technical barriers in the field of salt lake lithium extraction but also promotes the industry into a new era of comprehensive utilization and efficient adsorption. Currently, Jiuwu's adsorption + membrane technology has been applied in more than 95% of lithium carbonate production plants in Qinghai, demonstrating the company's core competitiveness in leading industrial transformation through technological innovation.

Industrial Practice and Future Prospects

During the forum's speech session, Vice General Manager Wang Xiaohu delivered a keynote speech titled "Innovation and Practice of Salt Lake Lithium Extraction Technology," systematically explaining Jiuwu Hi-tech's latest breakthroughs in adsorption lithium extraction, membrane integration processes, and other fields from four aspects: strategic insights, core technologies, application practices, and future prospects. He also introduced related project cases.

Currently, Jiuwu Hi-tech's business is divided into three new material sectors: ceramic membranes, organic membranes, and adsorbents, as well as four application fields: new energy services, water treatment and resource utilization, industrial fluid separation, and waste gypsum resource utilization. The company has established innovation platforms such as postdoctoral research workstations and obtained nearly 400 authorized patents.

Recovery of Associated Resources: Increasing emphasis on the comprehensive recovery of associated resources such as potassium, boron, and magnesium in salt lake lithium extraction projects, improving overall economic benefits.

Reducing Environmental Impact: Lithium extraction processes focus on reducing energy consumption, carbon emissions, freshwater consumption, and brine extraction volume, with new processes reducing freshwater use.


Ecological Protection and Restoration: Given the fragile ecology of salt lake areas, project development pays more attention to ecological protection and restoration, balancing industrial development with ecological relationships.
