They also help extend membrane service life, reduce maintenance requirements, and provide reliable solutions for water supply, wastewater treatment, and water reuse.

How Is Jiuwu Hi-Tech Advancing Lithium Extraction Technology?

To address the challenges of China’s salt lake lithium resources, including high magnesium-to-lithium and sodium-to-lithium ratios, Jiuwu Hi-Tech has developed an integrated “adsorption + membrane” technology solution.

The company has independently developed fourth-generation aluminum-based and titanium-based lithium adsorbents with high selectivity and adsorption capacity. Compared with third-generation products, these adsorbents improve performance by 30–50%, achieve lithium recovery rates above 90%, and provide impurity removal performance more than 20% higher than comparable products.

These technologies have reduced lithium extraction costs by 30–40% and lowered energy consumption by more than 50% compared with overseas technologies. They have also been successfully applied in one of China’s largest salt lake lithium extraction projects currently under construction, supporting the transition from resource-based extraction to stable industrial production and strengthening lithium resource security.

What Has Jiuwu Hi-Tech Achieved in Solid-State Electrolytes?

Based on nearly three decades of experience in inorganic functional materials, Jiuwu Hi-Tech has developed advanced oxide solid-state electrolyte materials, including LLZO and LATP, with performance reaching or exceeding mainstream industry standards.

These materials have been supplied in multiple batches to leading domestic battery manufacturers. In addition, Jiuwu Hi-Tech’s lithium sulfide material, a key component for sulfide solid-state electrolytes, has achieved a purity level of 99.9%.

The company has established metric-ton-scale production capabilities for solid-state electrolyte powders and developed a product portfolio covering powders, slurries, and dense ceramic sheets. Pilot production lines are currently being accelerated to further strengthen Jiuwu Hi-Tech’s capabilities in key solid-state battery materials and support the development of safer and more reliable next-generation batteries.

Meanwhile, silicon carbide ceramic membranes provide excellent performance under extreme conditions and can operate reliably across a wide temperature range from -20°C to 800°C.
