<h1>Building a Century-Long Jiuwu Trusted by Customers, Valued by Employees and Respected by Society</h1><p>When people speak about Jiuwu’s vision, many immediately mention “a century-long Jiuwu.” But what does that vision have to do with the work we do today?</p><p>In the previous episode, Zhang Xu explored why we exist—our mission. I am Zhuang Li from the Jiuwu Research Institute. Through a project I experienced firsthand, I would like to share how we understand and remember our vision.</p><h2>A Testing Challenge That Earned Trust Beyond One Project Cycle</h2><p>In 2019, I participated in the Xuwei New District water-treatment project in Lianyungang, a key local environmental project with exceptionally stringent effluent-quality requirements. Several partner organizations were conducting pilot tests at the same time. Using the same water samples, different teams obtained inconsistent results, and no one could identify the cause. The customer was understandably anxious.</p><p>It was a demanding period, but we did not give up. We led the formation of a dedicated task group, broke down every testing step and examined each detail. Through repeated discussion, testing and verification, we ultimately identified the root cause.</p><p>We then helped the customer define the test method for every indicator and standardize operating procedures across the workflow. The customer recognized our professionalism and saw Jiuwu as a reliable partner. One statement from the customer’s project leader has stayed with me: “In water-treatment projects, choosing a company is choosing trust.”</p><p>At that moment, I understood that we had gained more than an order. We had earned long-term trust.</p><h2>Four Ideas That Explain Our Vision</h2><h3>Customer trust</h3><p>This is not trust built through a single transaction. It means doing what we say, honoring our commitments and linking our value to the customer’s success—so that customers feel confident in work delivered by Jiuwu.</p><h3>Employee well-being</h3><p>It is more than compensation and benefits. It means giving people who want to contribute the opportunity to do so, helping capable people achieve results and enabling those who create value to share in development.</p><h3>Social trust</h3><p>When people think of Jiuwu, we hope they see not only a listed company, but also an accountable, responsible and respected enterprise.</p><h3>A century-long Jiuwu</h3><p>It means we do not work only for today. We take a long-term view, build a foundation for the next generation of Jiuwu professionals and help the company move steadily through changing cycles.</p><h2>Vision Is Not a Slogan on the Wall</h2><p>Vision answers a practical question: where do we want our everyday efforts to take Jiuwu? Customer trust is our foundation, employee well-being is our source of strength, social trust is the basis of our presence, and a century-long Jiuwu is the path ahead.</p><p>I am Zhuang Li—a research professional and a Jiuwu professional.
