<h1>Understanding Jiuwu’s Value: Strivers Are Our Greatest Asset</h1><p>After five years with the company, I have come to believe deeply that education may influence one’s starting point, but determination influences one’s destination.</p><p>Compared with many colleagues in the Research Institute, my starting point was ordinary: I was an undergraduate student like many others. But I have learned that what truly determines how far we can go is not where we begin, but how much we are willing to contribute to the work in front of us.</p><p>I am Wang Peng from the Jiuwu Research Institute. Through my work over recent years, I would like to share how we understand the fourth statement in Jiuwu’s values: strivers are our greatest asset.</p><h2>From Lop Nur to Argentina</h2><p>In April 2025, I led a team to Lop Nur in Xinjiang for adsorption testing. In a remote desert environment marked by year-round dryness and frequent wind and sand, we stayed for months. There, we completed a series of adsorption tests on LuoPotash raw brine and sodium-salt pond brine, validating the adsorption performance of aluminum-based adsorbents in different brine systems and providing key data for the LuoPotash Phase II project.</p><p>In August of the same year, we moved to the Zabuye project in Tibet at an altitude of 4,500 meters. Several teammates experienced serious altitude sickness, but the project could not wait. During the day we commissioned equipment at the site; at night we organized data. We worked through the process and completed pilot commissioning by the end of September, followed by successful acceptance in October.</p><p>From October of last year to May of this year, I returned to Tibet twice for projects at Zabuye Phase II, Lago Co and Mami Co. At Lago Co, we worked alongside competitors. The competition was not only about technical solutions; it was also about who could persist longer and work with greater precision. In the end, our test data earned strong recognition from the customer.</p><p>This August, I will have the opportunity to lead a team to the Zijin 3Q salt-lake project in Argentina for small-scale testing. We are ready to go.</p><p>People sometimes ask why I am willing to work in such demanding locations. My answer is simple: where the company needs us most is where strivers should go.</p><h2>Three Dimensions of “Strivers Are Our Greatest Asset”</h2><h3>Taking on challenges</h3><p>Strivers are not made by waiting; they are made by doing. They go where others may not want to go and remain where others may find the conditions too difficult. The wind and sand of Lop Nur, the altitude of Tibet and the competitive pressure at Lago Co were not easy, but we faced each challenge.</p><h3>Creating value</h3><p>Striving is not about moving ourselves emotionally; it is about delivering results. Data from Lop Nur, pilot acceptance at Zabuye and customer recognition at Lago Co all brought practical value to the company and our customers.</p><h3>Putting the mission before personal convenience</h3><p>When the company needs support, strivers do not wait to be assigned. They volunteer. Being willing to go to the places others avoid and take on responsibilities others may hesitate to carry is the character of a striver.</p><h2>“Those Who Contribute Should Be Recognized”</h2><p>At Jiuwu, we hold a simple commitment: those who contribute should not be disadvantaged.
