The National Day holiday has just ended, and long queues at highway service area charging piles, with "not a single free spot" at charging stations, have once again sparked widespread public discussion. The three pain points of "slow charging, queuing for energy replenishment and inflated range claims" interweave to form the range anxiety that users cannot shake on long-distance trips.
But tracing to the root, the crux of the energy replenishment dilemma lies not only in charging pile infrastructure. The "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry" proposes continuing to improve performance levels such as power battery safety, charging rate, low-temperature applicability and cycle life. Therefore, rapidly improving the performance of the battery itself is also an important strategy for escaping the replenishment dilemma. Lithium aluminum titanium phosphate (LATP) and lithium sulfide (Li2S) work from the material root, providing effective solutions to the fast-charging pain points of the cell itself.
There is a widespread misconception among the public that attributes the limited charging rate of power batteries to the number and power of charging piles. Improving charging pile power and expanding infrastructure alone cannot fully solve the fast-charging problem. Breakthroughs at the battery material level are another important path to relieving long-distance replenishment anxiety faster.
The essence of fast charging is a high-speed "microscopic migration" of lithium ions: lithium ions rapidly de-intercalate from the cathode, pass through the interface layer and separator, and finally intercalate into the anode. The larger the charging current, the higher the required lithium ion migration rate.
Why is fast charging stuck "inside the battery"?
When the charging rate is raised into high fast-charging ranges such as 2C and 5C, the transport efficiency of lithium ions inside the battery is the core bottleneck constraining charging speed.
In the NCM811//Si@C pouch cell system, compared with boehmite-coated separators, the high-rate fast-charging advantage of LATP-coated separators continues to amplify as the charging rate increases. Besides the separator coating approach, blending LATP with cathode active materials is also an effective path to improving cell fast-charging capability.
Facing passenger cars and commercial vehicles that require fast charging, as well as holiday highway replenishment scenarios, LATP provides a root material-level solution to the fast-charging pain point.
Compared with conventional liquid lithium batteries, all-solid-state batteries replace the conventional liquid electrolyte with a solid electrolyte, offering clear advantages in energy density and safety. Li2S is the core raw material of sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries and directly determines the purity, ionic conductivity and interface stability of sulfide electrolytes.
All-solid-state batteries built with high-purity Li2S as the raw material have higher energy density and longer range, while also offering excellent fast-charging potential, aligning with the "15th Five-Year Plan" direction of tackling key problems in new-generation battery systems.
As an enterprise with nearly thirty years of accumulation in inorganic material R&D, Jiuwu Hi-Tech is completing a cross-sector leap from "membrane separation" to "solid-state electrolytes". Relying on its self-developed "low-temperature solid-phase and atmosphere sintering" synergistic process, combined with element doping modification technology, it has successfully overcome the core barriers of oxide solid-state electrolyte preparation.

It is a key material for building hybrid solid-liquid batteries and is capable of improving battery fast-charging rates;
Balancing performance and cost, it is the preferred option on the oxide route.
Jiuwu Hi-Tech high-purity Li2S key indicators:
Product purity reaches 99.9%, with carbon content of 0.1% or less;
Full-process R&D and multi-batch performance verification have been completed;
High-purity Li2S is the core foundation for ensuring the ionic conductivity and interface stability of sulfide electrolytes and for optimizing lithium ion migration kinetics, and plays an important role in improving energy density, extending range and unleashing high-rate fast-charging potential.
The "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the New Battery Industry" mentions that by 2030, breakthroughs will be made in key materials such as new electrolytes, and all-solid-state batteries will see initial large-scale application. LATP is an oxide solid-state electrolyte, and high-purity Li2S is the core precursor for preparing sulfide electrolytes. The two are representative materials of new electrolytes, providing key support for the industrialization of solid-state batteries.
In terms of much-watched mass production capability, relying on its national-level green smart factory, Jiuwu Hi-Tech has overcome the problem of insufficient mass production consistency of oxide electrolytes, with product batch stability exceeding 95%. At present, it has achieved stable multi-batch supply to leading domestic cell enterprises, and has now completed the full-process R&D and multi-batch performance verification of lithium sulfide, with all key indicators reaching industry-leading levels.
Jiuwu Hi-Tech is providing material-level solutions from interface to system, from oxide to sulfide, for the next generation of fast-charging batteries, and with high-intensity R&D and innovation, offering cell customers verifiable, reproducible and scalable material support.
