Today, I would like to discuss the first of our specialized principles—our business philosophy: high-intensity innovation for high-quality development.</p><p>You may wonder whether a business philosophy belongs only to management. What does it have to do with someone working in materials R&D?</p><p>My answer is that business philosophy is not found only in a slogan. It is present in every experiment, every revised proposal and every late night spent solving a real problem.</p><p>I am Chu Zhiyong from Tibet Jiuwu. Through my own experience, I would like to share how we understand this business philosophy.</p><h2>Hundreds of Experiments: What “High-Intensity” Really Means</h2><p>In 2024, the company’s third-generation hollow adsorbent had achieved stable mass production. Yet in some salt-lake systems, customers reported that adsorption capacity still had room to improve. At the same time, competitors had introduced higher-performing products. The market would not wait, and Jiuwu’s position faced pressure.</p><p>Customer needs set the direction, and competition becomes a source of urgency.</p><p>The iterative upgrade of the adsorbent was much more difficult than expected. It could not be solved by writing a proposal. It required hundreds of parallel experiments, countless performance validations and repeated formulation adjustments. Optimizing one parameter could take weeks or months, and often the result was not the answer we hoped for, but another round of starting again.</p><p>During that period, I spent almost every day in the laboratory. Raw-material ratios, viscosity control and forming strength all had to be explored and adjusted repeatedly. When one set of data was not satisfactory, we adjusted and tried again. When a new route did not work, we broke the steps apart and reasoned through them one by one.</p><p>Sometimes there was no visible progress for weeks. It was exhausting, but we kept moving forward. That experience helped me understand “high-intensity”: it is not working exceptionally hard on one day. It is persisting every day.
