<h1>Understanding Jiuwu’s Value: Excellence Is Our Constant Pursuit</h1><p>If 60 is a passing grade and 100 is excellent, what does excellence beyond the standard look like?</p><p>After years in design, I have learned that achieving a good result is not the hardest part. The harder question is whether, when no one asks you to, you are still willing to go one step further.</p><p>I am Ding Yaqi from the Design Department. Through my own experience, I would like to share how we understand the third statement in Jiuwu’s values: excellence is our constant pursuit.</p><h2>A Project Without a Precedent</h2><p>In 2025, I participated in the design of a high-salinity wastewater-reuse project in Xinjiang. Building on existing wastewater-treatment experience, the project was the first to challenge stable reverse-osmosis operation at a sodium sulfate concentration of 16%.</p><p>The project was difficult for several reasons: the delivery period was short, no ready reference case was available, industrial wastewater composition was complex and membrane-fouling risk was high. An inaccurate design parameter could affect the performance of the entire system. The customer’s expectation was clear: the system had to meet requirements, operate reliably, remain economical and stand the test of time.</p><p>At the start, our design team set a goal: not simply to make it work, but to make it the best it could be. We held several review meetings and continuously optimized the process flow. Membrane flux, membrane selection and piping layout were all examined repeatedly.</p><p>The project passed acceptance in June 2026. More importantly, the variance among estimate, preliminary budget, detailed budget and final account was controlled within plus or minus 5%. In engineering, that level of accuracy means every step from design to implementation can withstand close examination.</p><h2>Three Dimensions of “Excellence Is Our Constant Pursuit”</h2><h3>Business excellence</h3><p>At Jiuwu, we aim to be better than excellent. In products, technologies and services, we pursue a little more than competitors, a little more than standards and a little more than customers expect. Where others see “good enough,” we pursue stable operation and auditable delivery.</p><h3>Management excellence</h3><p>Technology alone is not enough. Reliable work requires systems, standards and processes. In the Design Department, every stage has an appropriate review meeting, and every drawing goes through a three-level check and review process. This is not about distrusting individuals; it is about trusting a reliable process.</p><h3>Talent excellence</h3><p>Excellence is not an individual achievement. At Jiuwu, colleagues learn from experienced predecessors, mentors who are willing to share and peers who pursue the same high standards. We emphasize talent development and internal momentum so that capable people can encourage one another and grow together.</p><h2>Excellence Is a Choice</h2><p>Excellence is not a gift. It is a choice made whenever “good enough” seems tempting—the choice to take one more step.
